Pro: gift certificates are a safe gift, and are globally appealing; Con: gift certificates lack a personal touch and can be perceived as an obligatory gift.
3. Unique Home Fragrance Product - who does not want their home to smell good? The ultimate in House Warming is the gift of that makes the home inviting. Purchase Candles or Candle-like products to warm your client’s homes with scent. Hint - give this gift to your client at signing, so they can use it during showings to make the home more appealing (give a flameless product to avoid the risks of fire). Pro: a unique and special gift that appeals to just about anyone who owns a home; Con: fragrance choices are endless, so best to pick a scent that most clients will enjoy.

Choose from a variety of different subjects, and consider a book of local interest, especially for those clients who are moving from out of town. Pro: a permanent gift that could likely remind your real estate clients of you for years to come, Con: if you are not aware of your client’s interests, you risk purchasing a book that does not appeal to them.

Be sure to purchase a plant that is not seasonal and can live for many years with proper care. Pro: if the plant has longevity, the client will think of you often when looking at it, watering, and caring for it; Con: considering the size of the plant - not an easy transport to your closing. Consider having the plant delivered by the greenhouse or florist to your client’s new home.
