TINY: A Story About Living Small Christopher Smith is making a very small house on top of a flatbed trailer.
He needs the trailer with its wheels because he is going to place this house-soon-to-be-home far into Colorado country where buildings are not allowed—unless they are on a small flatbed trailers on wheels.
Smith’s companion, Merete Mueller, is helping him; but it’s mostly his house to build, and, anyway, she’s planning on going to New York City.
Smith and Muller are also co-producing, co-directing, and co-shooting a movie about both the building of his home and the tiny home movement. Their movie, “TINY”, isn’t small. It’s about an hour long, and in that hour we see Smith build his home and get it on the land. We also meet Smith’s family members and learn what they think about their son’s intentions; we meet several owners of tiny homes, we see their homes, and, of course, we meet Mueller.
“TINY” is also a success story. The film has been picked up by First Run Features, and when you go to the website you will learn how easy it is to see “TINY”. You can also discover a cornucopia of information about small houses, and a great source of Tiny House-themed, letterpress, handmade note cards. Go figure.
