I’m having a hell of a time finding places in San Francisco, Berkeley or Oakland that offer the same services that the Film Arts Foundation did. Is 16mm film production dead in San Francisco?

I recently bought a 16mm Eclair ACL and I would love to shoot and edit on film, create effects using an optical printer and project from film. Is there a place in the Bay Area where I could rent equipment. Or should I just buy the equipment and retire to some primordial filmmaking cave? Any suggestions?
